What needs to change for you to thrive?

Maintaining good health is often limited to considerations around diet and movement. Eating well and moving adequately is important but true health is impacted by so much more. It encompasses sleep quality, our ability to manage stress, work, mental health, relationships, finances, our sense of purpose. These areas of health are deeply entwined and strongly connected.  Resilient and robust health is reached when all dimensions are in alignment. It isn't just about how you look and perform but how you think, feel, respond, solve problems and deal with the world around you. 

Optimal health comes from a balanced diet of fresh, whole foods. It comes from sufficient exercise combined with genuine rest. It comes from minimising exposure to toxins in the environment. Adequate hydration and breathing well. It comes from real human connection and sincere emotional expression. It comes from living with purpose and joy, and using your life as an expression of these things.

Now more than ever, we have access to a vast amounts of information when it comes to taking care of our health. It can be overwhelming and often the messaging appears totally contradictory. It is up to us to make that huge step from information to action. Where do you start? What will work for me? Navigating this gap between knowing and doing without any support is difficult. It prevents us from making the lifestyle and behavioural changes that will help us truly thrive.

 

 How would you like to feel? What would become possible? How would life be different if you improved your health and wellbeing?

How I can help

You are the expert.

As a coach I meet you where you are at and build from there. We harness your unique wisdom, skills, experience and strengths and identify opportunities for growth toward your vision of optimal health. I contribute a vast knowledge of functional health, techniques based on the science of behaviour change and utilise motivational interviewing to get you "unstuck". Together we create a path for you to achieve your goals through small, progressive and sustainable changes.

All I ask is that you are ready to make a change. Progress is seldom linear. There will be successes and there will be set backs. I'm here to support you every step of the way. 

Ultimately, you get the results you are looking for. You lose the weight. You sleep better. That pain goes away. You don't need the medication any more. You can keep up with the kids again. You feel content and calm. Your cycle is regular. You feel better than you have in years.

Me

Coach. Teacher. Health nut.

As someone who has lived with chronic illness for years, I understand how suboptimal health can erode quality of life and make your world smaller.  Driven by my predicament and wanting to take an active role in my healing, I have spent a great deal of time researching, taking courses, reading and experimenting when it comes to attaining (and maintaining) good health. From the gut microbiome to hormone balancing, stress management to sleep, I am fascinated by the intricacies of the mind/body connection and how to restore balance and vitality through identifying the root cause of dysfunction. 

Having the right knowledge is only part of the picture when it comes to healing or optimisation. Being coached for the first time was absolutely game changing for me. A fog immediately lifted and my path became clear. I knew what I had to do, how to do it and most importantly, had confidence in my ability to reach those goals. Whilst I am working step by step towards them, coaching has helped me to feel joyful, vibrant, and at peace—despite my symptoms and circumstances.  My mission is to use these techniques to help others feel empowered, heal and grow. 

 

My background is in teaching Pilates and movement therapy with particular interest in hypermobility disorders and back pain. I am a Kresser ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach and a Level 1 certified Precision Nutrition Coach. I am National Board Certified (NBC-HWC) and also part of the team at Lin Health working as Pain Recovery Coach.
